What No Labels is Really About – John Avlon at the Grassroots

There are a lot of myths flying around about what No Labels is “really” about, and even more garbage being tossed at it from both ends of the spectrum

This video isn’t polished… the sound is actually kind of bad, but it is one of the best summaries of what No Labels is really about. It’s centrist political analyst on CNN, and columnist for Newsweek and The Daily Beast, John Avlon (one of No Labels’ founders) talking with a local No Labels chapter meeting in Westchester, New York. Worth the watch:

  1. i was wondering:

“There are a lot of myths flying around about what No Labels is “really” about, and even more garbage being tossed at it from both ends of the spectrum”

can you cite an example of garbage being tossed at the “no labels” movement from the left end of the spectrum?

    1. I’ve gotten just as much B.S. from the left about No Labels as I have from the right. Haven’t kept track, but every time Mark McKinnon says something for them, there is a bump in stuff about them saying they’re “really” republicans pretending to be moderates. Same as every time that Kiki McLain (sp?) says something the right says the opposite. Partisan zealots (not just partisans, just the zealots) only see things as either them, or the other side… they refuse to see that there is a huge spectrum of belief out there between them, and not everything that isn’t as liberal as them are arch conservatives, or conservative enablers.
